the eye checking is for fitting the contact lens on your eye.
for making the right fitting for you.
if you just ask the power of the CL and bring it home without checking, it might give some effects to your vision. there are few spectacles shop do this, just giving the CL without fitting. so run away from this shop. try to make an appointment with your Optometrist . heeee =D
